Hamilton Wenham Climate Action Team

Mission

The Climate Crisis is the most urgent issue facing the Global Community. Finding and implementing solutions is the responsibility of all people, communities and governments across the globe.

We call on Hamilton, Wenham, and the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District (HWRSD) to urgently and collectively pursue the Net Zero Carbon goals set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts including:

• Approve the Climate Change Resolution (now passed by Hamilton & Wenham Select Boards!)

• Establish & support a Hamilton/Wenham/HWRSD Climate Action Committee

• Create & Implement Climate Action Plans to transition our towns away from fossil fuels and toward clean energy and energy efficiency.

These steps will allow Hamilton and Wenham to take advantage of the many local, state, and federal grant opportunities to further our goals. Great strides can be made toward reducing our carbon emissions if we have a good plan and work together.
